Is Shoot For Meaning free?

Yes — you can upload your first photos and get real feedback without an account and without a card. While we're in beta, every account gets the full Enthusiast experience, free. When we launch, you'll see exactly what the paid plans cost on our pricing page — and beta photographers keep 50% off for life.

What happens to my photos? Are they private?

Your photos stay yours. You keep full copyright and ownership of everything you upload. We never sell or share your photographs, and we never use them to train generative AI. We do use your work to sharpen how Sonder reads and grades — which makes the feedback better for every photographer — and our team may review uploads to keep Shoot For Meaning safe. Your photos aren't shown to other photographers on the site, and you can delete them anytime. The full details live in our Privacy Policy.

Is this AI? What is Sonder?

Sonder is our analysis engine — purpose-built by a photographer to read photographs the way people do: as vessels of memory and meaning, not pixels. Sonder reads your photographs and writes your feedback. The training modules and courses are made by a working photographer. So a photographer decided what good photography means and taught Sonder to look for it. More about who's behind this →

How long does feedback take?

Seconds. Upload a photo and Sonder reads it on the spot — no waiting, no queue, available whenever you shoot.

What happens after I upload?

Sonder names the visual techniques it sees, tells you what each one is doing for the photograph, and shows you where to sharpen. Create a free account and your work builds into a voice portrait that deepens as you add more photographs — so the more you share, the better it reads you.

Do I need an account?

Not to start. Your first photos are free with no account. When you're ready to track your progress over time and build your voice portrait, a free account keeps it all in one place.
